Hi, I’m Unique. Strong, soft, unstoppable.
I’m a Full Spectrum Doula trained at Ancient Song Doula Services, supporting families across New Jersey and New York. I built Doula in Heels because birth deserves more than a checklist — it deserves advocacy, expertise, and someone who shows up the way you would for your closest friend.
After the premature birth of my daughter at 27 weeks in 2021, I spent three years in NICU advocacy and recovery work. That experience reshaped my practice: I now specialize in NICU and high-risk birth support alongside full-spectrum care, with a particular commitment to maternal health for women of color.
I am currently re-certifying as a Lactation Counselor and serve on local breastfeeding coalitions and birth equity panels.

Birth doula support
Continuous emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after labor. Hospital, birth center, or home.

Gentle, non-judgmental care through the fourth trimester. Newborn care, light household tasks, parental wellness.

A few things worth knowing.
How does a doula differ from a midwife or OB?
A doula provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support — not medical care. I work alongside your medical team, advocating for your preferences and helping you feel grounded in every decision.
When in pregnancy should I hire a doula?
Most clients book between 20 and 32 weeks, which gives us time to build rapport and tailor your care plan. I take a small number of clients per quarter, so earlier inquiry is welcome.
Do you support hospital births, home births, and birth centers?
Yes — all three. My practice serves families across NJ and NY in any setting that supports your birth vision.
Are payment plans available?
Yes. Each engagement includes a tailored payment plan. We discuss this at your discovery call.
What is your availability?
By inquiry only. I take a limited roster each quarter to ensure each family receives the depth of care they deserve.
